KV1.3 channels are widely expressed in the brain, lung and osteoclasts and in several cell populations of hematopoietic origin. KV1.3 expression/function in T-lymphocytes is responsible for maintaining the resting potential in quiescent cells and regulating Ca2+ signaling, indispensable for normal T-lymphocyte activation.
