Overview
Cat #: BLP-SR022
Type: Synthetic peptide
Form: Lyophilized powder
5HT1B Receptor/HTR1B (extracellular) Blocking Peptide (#BLP-SR022) is the original antigen used for immunization during Anti-5HT1B Receptor (HTR1B) (extracellular) Antibody (#ASR-022) generation. The blocking peptide binds and ‘blocks’ Anti-5HT1B Receptor/HTR1B (extracellular) primary antibody, this makes it a good negative reagent control to help confirm antibody specificity in western blot and immunohistochemistry applications. This control is also often called a pre-adsorption control.
Applications: wb, ihc
Application key:
WB- Western blot, IHC- Immunohistochemistry
For research purposes only, not for human use
Applications
Demonstration of Pre-adsorption control
- Western blot analysis of rat hippocampus lysate:1. Anti-5HT1B Receptor (HTR1B) (extracellular) Antibody (#ASR-022), (1:400).
2. Anti-5HT1B Receptor (HTR1B) (extracellular) Antibody, preincubated with 5HT1B Receptor/HTR1B (extracellular) Blocking Peptide (#BLP-SR022). - Expression of 5-Hydroxytryptamine receptor 1B in rat and mouse brainImmunohistochemical staining of rat and mouse brain sections using Anti-5HT1B Receptor (HTR1B) (extracellular) Antibody (#ASR-022), (1:200). A. 5-HT1B receptor staining (green) in rat hippocampal CA1 region is detected in the pyramidal layer (P) and apical dendrites (arrows). B. 5-HT1B receptor staining (green) in mouse deep cerebellar nucleus appears in neuronal profiles (arrows). DAPI counterstain is used for nuclei staining.
