Nav1.8/SCN10A Blocking Peptide (#BLP-SC016) is the original antigen used for immunization during Anti-NaV1.8 (SCN10A) Antibody (#ASC-016) generation. The blocking peptide binds and ‘blocks’ Anti-Nav1.8/SCN10A primary antibody, this makes it a good negative reagent control to help confirm antibody specificity in western blot and immunohistochemistry applications. This control is also often called a pre-adsorption control.

Expression of NaV1.8 in rat DRGImmunohistochemical staining of adult rat dorsal root ganglion (DRG) using Anti-NaV1.8 (SCN10A) Antibody (#ASC-016). NaV1.8 staining (red) is cytoplasmic and the intensity varies among DRG cells.
