Overview
Cat #: BLP-VR003
Type: Synthetic peptide
Form: Lyophilized powder
PACAP Receptor 1/PAC1 Blocking Peptide (#BLP-VR003) is the original antigen used for immunization during Anti-PACAP Receptor 1 (PAC1) Antibody (#AVR-003) generation. The blocking peptide binds and ‘blocks’ Anti-PACAP Receptor 1/PAC1 primary antibody, this makes it a good negative reagent control to help confirm antibody specificity in western blot and immunohistochemistry applications. This control is also often called a pre-adsorption control.
Applications: wb, ihc
Application key:
WB- Western blot, IHC- Immunohistochemistry
For research purposes only, not for human use
Applications
Demonstration of Pre-adsorption control
- Western blot analysis of mouse brain (lanes 1 and 4), rat brain (lanes 2 and 5) and rat cerebellum (lanes 3 and 6) lysates:1-3. Anti-PACAP Receptor 1 (PAC1) Antibody (#AVR-003), (1:500).
4-6. Anti-PACAP Receptor 1 (PAC1) Antibody, preincubated with PACAP Receptor 1/PAC1 Blocking Peptide (#BLP-VR003). - Expression of PAC1 receptor in rat cerebellumImmunohistochemical staining of perfusion-fixed frozen rat brain sections using Anti-PACAP Receptor 1 (PAC1) Antibody (#AVR-003), (1:400), followed by donkey anti-rabbit-Cy3 antibody. PAC1 receptor staining (red) appears in Purkinje cells (arrows). Nuclei are stained with DAPI (blue).
