Piezo1 Blocking Peptide (#BLP-PC087) is the original antigen used for immunization during Anti-Piezo1 Antibody (#APC-087) generation. The blocking peptide binds and ‘blocks’ Anti-Piezo1 primary antibody, this makes it a good negative reagent control to help confirm antibody specificity in western blot and immunohistochemistry applications. This control is also often called a pre-adsorption control.
- Western blot analysis of rat lung (lanes 1 and 3) and mouse lung (lanes 2 and 4) lysates:1,2. Anti-Piezo1 (extracellular) Antibody (#APC-087), (1:600).
3,4. Anti-Piezo1 Antibody, preincubated with Piezo1 Blocking Peptide (#BLP-PC087).
- Expression of Piezo1 in rat olfactory bulbImmunohistochemical staining of rat olfactory bulb sections using Anti-Piezo1 (extracellular) Antibody (#APC-087). A. Piezo1 staining (green) appears in the neuropil with varying intensity within and between glomeruli. B. Nuclear staining (blue) using DAPI as the counterstain. C. Merged image of panels A and B.
