Alomone Lab Ltd. ("We", "Our", "Us", or the "Company") values your privacy and wishes to let you know how it handles and processes personal data when using this website at www.alomone.com (the "Website").

This Privacy Notice is an integral part of our Website’s Terms of Use and governs the collection, use, transfer and other form of processing of personal data by us, while visiting our website ("You" or "End User").

Who are we and what we do?

We are Alomone Labs Ltd., a developer, manufacturer and supplier of research tools and reagents for membrane proteins (including antibodies, pharmacological reagents, toxins/peptides and related products and services).

We operate this website to provide information about our products and services and to enable Our Business Customers, research laboratories, academic institutions, and commercial organizations, to request quotes, place orders via our online store, access resources (such as protocols and technical materials), and contact our teams for sales, logistics and technical support.

For personal data collected through or in connection with the website we act as the Data Controller (meaning, we are the entity that set the means and purposes of the processing).

Scope

The Website supports Our activities by providing product and technical information and enabling authorized users (acting on behalf of Our Business Customers) to contact us, request information, request quotes, receive technical support, create/manage a user account, and purchase products via our online store.

Our Website also allows for simple browsing and some other activities for guest users.

This Privacy Notice applies only to Personal Data that we collect and process via the Website and related online interactions (for example, through webforms, account registration, order/checkout processes, and communications initiated through the Website).

Acceptance of terms

This Notice is a legally binding agreement between you and Us. If you are entering into this agreement on behalf of a business or other legal entity, you represent that you have the authority to bind such entity to this agreement.

We may change this Privacy Notice from time to time. Any such change will be effective as of the date it is posted on this page. Your continued use of the Website after the effective date of any changes to this Privacy Notice, will be deemed to constitute your acceptance of all such changes.

Children

The Website is not directed to individuals under 16. The Company does not knowingly collect or process personal data from individuals under the age of 16 via the Website, and we do not assume or have control over the content uploaded by You.

If you are holding parental responsibility over an individual under 16 and believe your child has provided personal data to us, please contact us directly.

What kind of personal data we collect?

When visiting our website, we may collect the following data:

  • Account registration and profile details (e-store account): Full name, title, work email address, country, company/institution details (including institution type where applicable), lab position/role, lab PI/team details (optional), work mobile phone number, areas of proffessional interest (optional), newsletter opt-in preference, and remote shopping assistance preference.
  • Login / authentication data (including SMS verification): Email address, log-in and verification details (allowed/denied and time-stamp). 
  • Remote shopping assistance: If you choose this option, we will gain access to all of your registration and profile data, alongside details about products viewed/added to cart, quote/order details, shipping address, purchase order/reference fields, and communications you send through the Website during the session.
  • Online ordering: Order details - items purchased, quantities and order history, your contact details, and your billing and delivery information (billing/shipping name, company or institution, address and delivery instructions). Where applicable, we also process procurement and tax-related details you provide (e.g., purchase order number, VAT/tax ID and other invoice references). We further process fulfilment information such as shipping method, tracking details and delivery status, and any communications or notes you provide in connection with your order. 
  • Payment processing: When you pay for an order, your payment details are collected and processed directly by our payment service provider(s) in accordance with their privacy notice. We do not have access to or store full payment card details. We may receive limited information, such as a payment confirmation, partial card information (e.g., card brand and last four digits) and a transaction identifier, as well as information needed for refunds, reconciliation and fraud prevention.
  • Contact us (general inquiries): Full name, company details, work e-mail, work phone number, and your inquiry.
  • Technical support / scientific support requests: Full name, company details, work e-mail, work phone number, product and/or order number, and your inquiry. If you choose to add any, we will also collect uploaded files.
  • Quote requests: info@alomone.com
  • Newsletter subscription: info@alomone.com 
  • Usage, device, and log data: System events and interactions (e.g., account creation, logins and requests), IP address, browser type/version, pages visited, time and date of visit, time spent on pages, unique device identifiers, diagnostic data, and error reports.
  • Approximate location data (where enabled): Geographic location derived from IP address and/or location data if you enable location permissions on your device.
  • Cookie and similar tracking data: Cookie identifiers and related information (including session, preference and security cookies), and analytics/behavioral data collected via cookies or similar technologies, For more information please see "Cookies" section below.

You do not have to provide any of the above-mentioned personal data, and you have no legal obligation to do so. That being said, without it, we will not be able to provide features and services the Website provides, in part or in full.

We collect the personal data at registration, throughout your use of the Website, and any time you communicate with us, as follows:

We collect, use, and process the personal data provided to establish and manage our relations with you and your related business or interests. We shall further process personal data for the following purposes:

  • Service delivery & administration: To perform our contract or your request, as needed to operate our Website and services, including account management, handling requests (e.g., contact, quotes, bulk/custom orders), order processing and fulfilment. When Remote shopping assistance is enabled, allows our authorized staff to assist you in real time and, at your request, perform actions on your behalf within your account. 
  • Website & Service optimization: Per our legitimate interests, we refine performance, interface, and future features based on usage insights. 
  • Error monitoring & debugging: Per our legitimate interests, we analyze logs to detect, investigate, and resolve bugs or user/usage difficulties. 
  • Billing & payments: To perform our contract with you, or for compliance with a legal obligation, we issue invoices, confirm payments, manage refunds/chargebacks where applicable, and manage our financial relationship. 
  • User communications: To perform our contract with you or per your request, we send service-related messages and respond to enquiries, including technical/scientific support.
  • Data enrichment: Per our legitimate interests, we will enhance and keep our business customer/contact records accurate and up to date using data enrichment providers and/or public/professional sources.
  • Legal & Terms enforcement: Per our contracts and legitimate interests, to uphold our contracts, terms, conditions, and policies.
  • Analytics: Per our legitimate interests, we assess how the website and services are used to advance business decisions.
  • Marketing & offers: Per our legitimate interests in promoting our Company, Website, and services, and tailoring communications and offers, or, where required by applicable law, based on your consent.

WE DO NOT SELL your personal data to third parties, nor we have done so in the past 12 months.

We use a limited number of third-party service providers, who act as our sub-processors, to assist us in making our Website and related services available. These third parties may access, process or store personal data while providing their services to us.

Due to Restructuring

We may also share your personal data in cases of merger, acquisition, or any other kind of control shifts. In such cases, the said entity shall undertake obligations set in this Privacy Notice.

Universal Opt Out Mechnisms: Where required by law, we honor opt-out preference signals (such as Global Privacy Control) for opting out of the sharing of personal data and/or targeted advertising.

We may transfer, store, and process personal data about you on servers and databases located outside of your country of residence, which could have different data protection rules than those of your country of resident or the country in which you were located when you initially provided the personal data. How do We keep personal data secure?

We use security measures designed to protect against the loss, misuse, and alteration of the personal data under our control. For certain services, data transfers are encrypted during transmission. In addition, information that we store is maintained and archived on secure, hardened servers that are hosted on industry standard secured data centers. Access to this information is protected by multiple layers of controls, including firewalls, role-based access controls, authentication mechanisms and monitoring. The information is backed up, and archives are stored in a secure location. The Company is taking reasonable action to keep your information safe. Nevertheless, We are not responsible for any damages to the information, or to the functionality of the Website or services, caused by reasons beyond Our reasonable control, force majeure, cyber-attacks, pandemics, strikes, etc.

Verification. To protect your privacy and security, we may need to verify your identity (and, where relevant, your authority to act on behalf of an organization) before processing your request. If we cannot verify your identity, we may be unable to fulfill the request.

Response Timeline. We respond within the timeframes required by applicable law, generally within one month of verification (and may extend by up to two additional months where permitted, taking into account the complexity and number of requests, and we will notify you of any extension).

Appeal. Where you have a right to appeal a denial of your request under applicable U.S. state law, you may submit an appeal by emailing Us with "Appeal" in the subject line. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.
