CaBP2 Blocking Peptide (#BLP-CS003) is the original antigen used for immunization during Anti-CaBP2 Antibody (#ACS-003) generation. The blocking peptide binds and ‘blocks’ Anti-CaBP2 primary antibody, this makes it a good negative reagent control to help confirm antibody specificity in western blot and immunohistochemistry applications. This control is also often called a pre-adsorption control.
- Western blot analysis of Human ARPE-19 retinal epithelium (lanes 1 and 4), mouse heart (lanes 2 and 5), and rat heart (lanes 3 and 6) lysates:
- CAKTPWH RGSKER, corresponding to amino acid residues 4-16 of mouse CaBP2 (Accession Q9JLK4).
