GALR1 Blocking Peptide (#BLP-GR011) is the original antigen used for immunization during Anti-GALR1 Antibody (#AGR-011) generation. The blocking peptide binds and ‘blocks’ Anti-GALR1 primary antibody, this makes it a good negative reagent control to help confirm antibody specificity in western blot and immunohistochemistry applications. This control is also often called a pre-adsorption control.
- Western blot analysis of rat brain lysate (lanes 1 and 3) and mouse brain lysate (lanes 2 and 4):
- Expression of Galanin receptor 1 in rat DRGImmunohistochemical staining of rat dorsal root ganglia (DRG) frozen section using Anti-GALR1 Antibody (#AGR-011), (1:200), (red). Galanin receptor 1 is expressed in DRG neuron cells. Hoechst 33342 is used as the counterstain (blue).
- RSKPGKPRSTTN(C), corresponding to amino acid residues 60-71 of mouse Galanin receptor type 1 (Accession P56479).
