GLUT8 (extracellular) Blocking Peptide (#BLP-GT028) is the original antigen used for immunization during Anti-GLUT8 (extracellular) Antibody (#AGT-028) generation. The blocking peptide binds and ‘blocks’ Anti-GLUT8 (extracellular) primary antibody, this makes it a good negative reagent control to help confirm antibody specificity in western blot and immunohistochemistry applications. This control is also often called a pre-adsorption control.
- Western blot analysis of rat brain membranes (lanes 1 and 4), mouse liver membranes (lanes 2 and 5) and mouse testis membranes (lanes 3 and 6):
- Peptide (C)KLTQSGPSNSSHVG, corresponding to amino acid residues 342 - 355 of rat GLUT8 (Accession Q9JJZ1).
