NCS1 Blocking Peptide (#BLP-CS001) is the original antigen used for immunization during Anti-NCS1 Antibody (#ACS-001) generation. The blocking peptide binds and ‘blocks’ Anti-NCS1 primary antibody, this makes it a good negative reagent control to help confirm antibody specificity in western blot and immunohistochemistry applications. This control is also often called a pre-adsorption control.
- Western blot analysis of mouse brain (lanes 1 and 4), rat brain (lanes 2 and 5) and rat eye (lanes 3 and 6) lysates (1:200-1:400):
- Expression of NCS1 in mouse cerebellum.Immunohistochemical staining of perfusion-fixed frozen mouse brain sections with Anti-NCS1 Antibody (#ACS-001), (1:100), followed by goat anti-rabbit-Alexa-488. A. NCS1 immunoreactivity (green) appeared in the Purkinje layer (P, horizontal arrow) and in purkinje dendrites (vertical arrow) in the molecular layer (MOL). B. Pre-incubation of the antibody with NCS1 Blocking Peptide (BLP-CS001), suppressed staining. Cell nuclei are stained with DAPI (blue).
