Nociceptin Receptor/OPRL1 Blocking Peptide (#BLP-OR015) is the original antigen used for immunization during Anti-Nociceptin Receptor (OPRL1) Antibody (#AOR-015) generation. The blocking peptide binds and ‘blocks’ Anti-Nociceptin Receptor/OPRL1 primary antibody, this makes it a good negative reagent control to help confirm antibody specificity in western blot and immunohistochemistry applications. This control is also often called a pre-adsorption control.
- Western blot analysis of rat brain (lanes 1 and 4), mouse brain (lanes 2 and 5) and U-87 MG (lanes 3 and 6) lysates:
- (C)HREMQVSDRVRSIAKD, corresponding to amino acid residues 337-352 of rat OPRL1 (Accession P35370).
