proGDNF Blocking Peptide (#BLP-NT026) is the original antigen used for immunization during Anti-proGDNF Antibody (#ANT-026) generation. The blocking peptide binds and ‘blocks’ Anti-proGDNF primary antibody, this makes it a good negative reagent control to help confirm antibody specificity in western blot and immunohistochemistry applications. This control is also often called a pre-adsorption control.
- Western blot analysis of human GDNF pro-domain fusion protein at 40 ng (lanes 1 and 4), 30 ng (lanes 2 and 5) and 20ng (lanes 3 and 6):
- (C)PEDYPDQFDDVMD, corresponding to amino acid residues 54-66 of human GDNF (precursor) (Accession P39905).
