TRHR1 Blocking Peptide (#BLP-TR005) is the original antigen used for immunization during Anti-TRHR1 Antibody (#ATR-005) generation. The blocking peptide binds and ‘blocks’ Anti-TRHR1 primary antibody, this makes it a good negative reagent control to help confirm antibody specificity in western blot and immunohistochemistry applications. This control is also often called a pre-adsorption control.
- Western blot analysis of rat brain (lanes 1 and 4), human Jurkat acute T cell leukemia cell (lanes 2 and 5) and mouse MS1 pancreas cell (lanes 3 and 6) lysates:
- CKQKPTEKAANYS, corresponding to amino acid residues 336-349 of rat Thyrotropin-releasing hormone receptor 1 (Accession Q01717).
