Vasopressin V1B Receptor/AVPR1B Blocking Peptide (#BLP-VR011) is the original antigen used for immunization during Anti-Vasopressin V1B Receptor (AVPR1B) Antibody (#AVR-011) generation. The blocking peptide binds and ‘blocks’ Anti-Vasopressin V1B Receptor/AVPR1B primary antibody, this makes it a good negative reagent control to help confirm antibody specificity in western blot and immunohistochemistry applications. This control is also often called a pre-adsorption control.
- Western blot analysis of rat lung (lanes 1 and 3) and mouse kidney (lanes 2 and 4) lysates:
- (C)RAKPRPAGSLKDLE, corresponding to amino acid residues 399-412 of rat AVPR1B (Accession P48974).
