Gephyrin Blocking Peptide (#BLP-IP005) is the original antigen used for immunization during Anti-Gephyrin Antibody (#AIP-005) generation. The blocking peptide binds and ‘blocks’ Anti-Gephyrin primary antibody, this makes it a good negative reagent control to help confirm antibody specificity in western blot and immunohistochemistry applications. This control is also often called a pre-adsorption control.

- Expression of Gephyrin in rat hippocampusImmunohistochemical staining of rat hippocampal dentate gyrus sections using Anti-Gephyrin Antibody (#AIP-005). A. Gephyrin staining (green) appears in hilus of the dentate gyrus (arrows). B. Nuclear staining using DAPI as the counterstain (blue). C. Merge image of panel A and B.
