Human CCR5 (extracellular) Blocking Peptide (#BLP-CR025) is the original antigen used for immunization during Anti-Human CCR5 (extracellular) Antibody (#ACR-025) generation. The blocking peptide binds and ‘blocks’ Anti-Human CCR5 (extracellular) primary antibody, this makes it a good negative reagent control to help confirm antibody specificity in western blot and immunohistochemistry applications. This control is also often called a pre-adsorption control.
- Western blot analysis of human HL-60 promyelocytic leukemia (lanes 1 and 4), human THP-1 acute monocytic leukemia (lanes 2 and 5) and human MEG-O1 Chronic myelogenous leukemia (lanes 3 and 6) cell lysates:
- CSSHFPYSQYQFWKN, corresponding to amino acid residues 178-192 of human CCR5 (Accession P51681).
