Overview
Cat #: BLP-CP003
Type: Synthetic peptide
Form: Lyophilized powder
PMCA3 Blocking Peptide (#BLP-CP003) is the original antigen used for immunization during Anti-PMCA3 Antibody (#ACP-003) generation. The blocking peptide binds and ‘blocks’ Anti-PMCA3 primary antibody, this makes it a good negative reagent control to help confirm antibody specificity in western blot and immunohistochemistry applications. This control is also often called a pre-adsorption control.
Applications: wb, ihc
Application key:
WB-western blot, IHC-Immunohistochemistry
For research purposes only, not for human use
Applications
Demonstration of Pre-adsorption control
- Western blot analysis of mouse (lanes 1 and 3) and rat (lanes 2 and 4) brain membranes:1,2. Anti-PMCA3 Antibody (#ACP-003), (1:200).
3,4. Anti-PMCA3 Antibody, preincubated with PMCA3 Blocking Peptide (#BLP-CP003). - Expression of PMCA3 in rat choroid plexusImmunohistochemical staining of perfusion-fixed frozen rat brain sections with Anti-PMCA3 Antibody (#ACP-003), (1:200), followed by goat-anti-rabbit-AlexaFluor-488. PMCA3 immunoreactivity (green) appears in the outlines of the choroid plexus (arrows) located in the lateral ventricle of the brain. Cell nuclei are stained with DAPI (blue).
