CLIC5 Blocking Peptide (#BLP-CL025) is the original antigen used for immunization during Anti-CLIC5 Antibody (#ACL-025) generation. The blocking peptide binds and ‘blocks’ Anti-CLIC5 primary antibody, this makes it a good negative reagent control to help confirm antibody specificity in western blot and immunohistochemistry applications. This control is also often called a pre-adsorption control.
- Western blot analysis of mouse brain (lanes 1 and 3) and rat lung (lanes 2 and 4) lysates:
- Mouse ileum sections (Yoshida, S. et al. (2016) Biomed. Res. 37, 127).
- (C)DTNTHGDEKGSQRK, corresponding to amino acid residues 161-174 of rat CLIC5 (Accession Q9EPT8).
