HVCN1 Blocking Peptide (#BLP-HC001) is the original antigen used for immunization during Anti-HVCN1 Antibody (#AHC-001) generation. The blocking peptide binds and ‘blocks’ Anti-HVCN1 primary antibody, this makes it a good negative reagent control to help confirm antibody specificity in western blot and immunohistochemistry applications. This control is also often called a pre-adsorption control.
- Western blot analysis of mouse WEHI B-cell lymphoma (lanes 1 and 4), human HL-60 promyelocytic leukemia (lanes 2 and 5) and human THP-1 acute monocytic leukemia (lanes 3 and 6) cell lysates:
- (C)GDDYHTWNVNYKK, corresponding to amino acid residues 32-44 of mouse HVCN1 (Accession Q3U2S8).
