Overview
Cat #: BLP-GC035
Type: Synthetic peptide
Form: Lyophilized powder
VGLUT1 Blocking Peptide (#BLP-GC035) is the original antigen used for immunization during Anti-VGLUT1 Antibody (#AGC-035) generation. The blocking peptide binds and ‘blocks’ Anti-VGLUT1 primary antibody, this makes it a good negative reagent control to help confirm antibody specificity in western blot and immunohistochemistry applications. This control is also often called a pre-adsorption control.
Applications: wb, ihc
Application key:
WB-western blot, IHC-Immunohistochemistry
For research purposes only, not for human use
Applications
Demonstration of Pre-adsorption control
- Western blot analysis of rat cortex lysate (lanes 1 and 3) and mouse brain lysate (lanes 2 and 4):1,2. Anti-VGLUT1 Antibody (#AGC-035), (1:200).
3,4. Anti-VGLUT1 Antibody, preincubated with VGLUT1 Blocking Peptide (#BLP-GC035). - Expression of VGLUT1 in rat cortexImmunohistochemical staining of perfusion-fixed rat brain frozen sections using Anti-VGLUT1 Antibody (#AGC-035), (1:400), followed by goat-anti-rabbit-Alexa-488. VGLUT1 staining (green) appears in neurons of the pyramidal layer of the parietal cortex (arrows). DAPI is used as the nuclear counterstain (blue).
