      • KV9.2 is a member of the electrically silent voltage-gated K+ (KV). Ten KV silent subunits have been identified: KV5.1, KV6.1–KV6.4, KV8.1, KV8.2, and KV9.1–KV9.3. KV9.2 modulates the activity of KV2.1 and KV2.2 channels1,2. KV9.2 structure includes six transmembrane segments: S1–S6, positive residues on S4, the K+ signature sequence GYG on the pore loop between S5 and S6, and cytoplasmic N and C termini2.

        High KV9.2 expression level can be found in the olfactory bulb, cerebral cortex, hippocampal formation, habenula, basolateral amygdaloid nuclei, and cerebellum1.

    Anti-KCNS2 (KV9.2) Antibody (#APC-132) is a highly specific antibody directed against an epitope of the rat protein. The antibody can be used in western blot analysis. It has been designed to recognize KV9.2 channel from human, rat, and mouse samples.
